Day 7

Taxi Touring

sunny 28 °C

The sun returned in style so we decided to make the most of it and organise a taxi tour with Lewis Foggo. I had managed to find Lewis' details on the web and he was described as being a local Bermudian with an extensive knowledge of the island. He certainly didn't disappoint.

Lewis came over to our apartment just after 11am and picked us all up and our first stop was 'Woody's' for a rum swizzle! We then visited the Cambridge Beaches area, Fort Scaur, South Shore beaches, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse....eventually making our way to St. George's where we had a particularly tasty lunch at Wahoo on the dockside.

After lunch our tour continued via Tabacco Bay and we slowly made our way back to Hamilton where we caught the ferry back to our apartment About 5pm.

We decided to get a casual dinner at Saltrock Grill which was within 5 minutes walking distance. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside listening to some local live music. The food was an interesting combination of sushi and more traditional fare and it actually wasn't too bad.

We finished our evening with drinks outside on our terrace.
