Day 8

Say Hello, wave goodbye

storm 27 °C

While Dad and Grant took the scooter to the Naval Dockyard, the rest of us took the bus. We all had breakfast at the Dockyard Pastry Shop which was ok food and coffee but not remarkable. We then had a wander around the shops where we had to bid farewell to Randy and Kim who were heading home on a lunch time flight.

The weather was pretty grim and it seemed to be getting worse. We decided to pay a visit to the Maritime Museum which was really interesting and gave us all an insight into Bermuda's naval heritage.

The weather really did turn nasty so there was only one thing for it.....head to the pub! We made our way over to The Frog and Onion pub where we got a pub lunch with beer, wine and some of those delicious onion rings.

Our plans to go out for the evening to an upmarket restaurant were dashed due to a combination of restaurants being full and the stormy weather. The weather improved slightly and the rain stopped so we decided to venture back to the Saltrock Cafe again due to its close location. Again, I ordered some above average quality sushi and we all seemed happy just to enjoy being together.
